The “one big score” lead sent the Company to Alexandria, a once prosperous Star League era system, now after the ravages of the Succession Wars, a planet full of bunkers, bomb shelters and defenses.
After jumping into the Zenith jump point of the system, the Minerva is greeted to a sight, the crew has not yet seen - a jumpship multiple times larger, than any they have sighted this far, parked next to the system recharge station. According to the local system registry, it was called the “Strength through Companionship”, a Canopian pleasure palace, and sure enough, the contact the company was in system to meet seemed to be on board.
The liaison of the Ministry of Archeology was pleased to finally have within easy reach a mercenary company with their own FTL capability. Quickly a contract was reached, where the Ministry would fund the Company on a journey spinward from Alexandria, using unexplored and seldomly used jump routes. In exchange they wanted first pick among any technology the Company might stumble upon. To ensure no funny business happens with the logs, a pair of Ministry archeologists with a 5 marine escort were stationed aboard the Minerva.
As part of this deal, any damage sustained in Izar (Voices in the void) was repaired on the Ministry dime.
