Hot pursuit

The Minerva was recalled from the system Nadir jump point to join the Aurora in orbit of 12b72ac Charlie. After salvage and repairs to the company 'Mechs a pursuit course for the Pirate DropShip was plotted. According to sensor observations it spent 2 days in polar orbit of 12b72c Delta and then landed.
The expected transit time was 4.5 days. At the end of the 3rd day, about 6 hours after the deceleration flip, the Minerva was hit by multiple missile warheads seemingly out of nowhere. The ship lost 2 of it's main engines, sustained some damage to it's tertiary flight deck and additional armor plating damage to it's starboard side. After sensor scans and analysis it seemed like the pirates mined the transfer orbit from Charlie to Delta with LRM ammunition. With 2 engines down, the Minerva could only sustain a deceleration burn of 0.4G, meaning it would not be able to finish it's transfer into orbit around Delta.
2 minutes after the missile hits, about the time for the pirates to confirm the hits, the ship received a message: “The attack on your forces was not personal. Take the salvage and move on”.
Since the Aurora was not hit in the minefield, the Company decided to not heed the warning.
Luckily, there were no further surprised and the Aurora reached the orbit of Delta successfully - an uninhabitable rocky wasteland with barely enough atmosphere to allow for the use of jump jets. Preliminary sensor scans revealed the Pirate DropShip parked in a defensive position between 2 canyons, leaving 2 possible approaches for engagement.
The company chose the direct assault option from the DropShip's starboard side, hoping to evade half of it's defensive batteries. The defending pirates took to the field in 'Mechs displaying obvious battle damage.
The battle devolved into a melee slug fest, as the Company engaged the only opposing 'Mech with intact armor and ignored all of it's battle damaged lancemates.
The only operational pirate 'Mech at the end of the battle was the Trebuchet TBT-7M, which the Company ignored because of next to no remaining offensive power. The DropShip crew surrendered after Sipsik took a shot at the DropShip's landing gear. Kratt's suggestion to murder the crew and steal the DropShip, was voted down because the Company had no 3rd pilot and no way to move the DropShip out of the system.
In the end a demand for the jamming tech was made, which the pirated agreed to, with the comment, that they have an additional jamming satellite, but no knowledge of how it works. The remaining jamming satellite changed hands.
