==== History ==== 

  * Well defended fortress in a naturally advantageous position 
  * Probably one of the oldest border forts in this region, predating the Empire of Men 
  * Overlooking the ruins of Godorfel, a tradetown abandoned 400 years ago. When nearby dwarfhold was sealed and trade stopped. 
  * Never actually conquered, but instead has been abandoned several times when holding it had no strategic value.
  * Castle has remained an outer supply outpost and a border fort ever since

==== Current status ==== 

  * Resupplied and fortified ever since increased orc movements were detected 
  * Home base for several scouting missions deep into orcish territory 
  * Currently under siege
